Parents: would you rather your child sit in a life drawing class, or would you rather they witness a murder?
Would you rather your child sit in a Life Drawing class where everyone is drawing a nude model standing in the middle of the room, or would you rather they see someone being murdered?
wouldnt it depend on how old the kid is? i mean if they’re like 4 months, then life-drawing obviously. they’d probably be thinking it was lunchtime anyway
Creative Figure Drawing (at Cal Arts)
This is a Figure Drawing section I did at Disney’s college, Cal Arts in Valencia. Instead of drawing the female model as she appeared before me, I used her as reference to go a more imaginative route. I drew the model and exaggerated her features, added wrinkles, over and under extended limbs and used other techniques to create an interesting image.
In this video I decided to document my travel to the college. You get a rare look into my mission as I ride the Los Angeles transit (MTA) to the train (Metro Blueline) arriving in Downtown Los Angeles where I transfer to the underground subway (Metro RedLine). From there I go to Union Station where I road the large train (MetroLink) to Valencia.
Hope you gain something from this video and thanks again for watching.

Do life drawing classes usually have nude models?
I want to take a Life Drawing class at community college over the summer. Are the models usually nude or clothed?
Thanks!
They aren’t "always" nude. They may be clothed, or partially nude. But a lot of the point of life drawing is to learn how to draw the human form, and you can’t do that if all your models have turtle necks and cargo pants on.
